RULES & INFORMATION

PARKING – If you want to park your rig the night before the Riot, you’ll need to at least pay to enter for the “test and tune” as a spectator. Overnight parking for the event is available by paying for the Riot event at the gate. Make sure you have a sticker on your windshield issued by OSW by Friday night or I’ll be knocking at your RV Door early. Parking in the field outside the gate is free. Please remember Car Show cars should park on the grass. Race cars should park on the concrete.

2025 8th Annual Florida Dragstrip Riot was presented by All Performance Super Center / Pinto’s Automotive and Orlando Speed World.

    1. Helmet: If you are a 14.00 or a slower enclosed top car, no helmet is required. All open top cars / convertibles must wear a helmet, gloves and long sleeve shirt at any time. If you have never raced, just bring a helmet.
      Eye protection is a must.
    2. Seat belts are a must.

    3. For 11.49 and slower, enclosed top cars: a long sleeve or short sleeve shirt is acceptable.

    4. For 11.49 and quicker: wear a SFI jacket.

    5. Gloves are optional but recommended.

    6. Long Pants and closed toe shoes recommended.

    7. No flip flops.

    8. Optional neck brace if you have one.

    9. NOTE: If you have a FAST CAR/RACE CAR and have raced any track anywhere, you already know what you need to compete safely. If you have a FAST open top show or street car or convertible, you will need some type of reasonable arm restraint attached to the seat belt. Restraints should not impede your reach to your controls!

    10. Fill out your tech card and either have a number on your car that matches your tech card or tech will assign a number for identification.

    11. 97.1 on your FM Dial is the track station. This is where your class will be called to the lanes and for other general information through out the day. Plus you get 50’s/60’s music through out the day!

VINTAGE CAR / SUPER STREETCAR

  1. Please fix any obvious safety issues with your car. If you have something flapping in the wind, bolt it down or take it off. If you have hubcaps, they need to be securely fastened to the wheel or take them off.

  2. Shut your A/C off in the staging lanes.

  3. You must have a catch can for your radiator.

  4. No missing lug nuts.

  5. Bring your car and safety equipment to tech along with tech card. Tech is located at the scales. If you have a backup girl or crew member(s), they MUST get a wrist band at tech to be in the starting lane area.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

You MUST sign a release at the Tech Shack. Drag Strip Riot Media vests are available first-come-first-serve. I NEED THEM BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY. BRING THEM TO THE “SATAN SPEED SHOP” TRAILER. THROW THEM IN THE DOOR.

FLAG START

  1. Roll into pre-stage, when you are ready, then roll into stage.

  2. The flag held in the starter’s right hand will point at you. You will nod your head “yes” that you are ready. She will lower the flag to the ground.

  3. When the flag moves upward LEAVE!

Everyone knows Richard Stetson. If you foul-start, he is the LAST WORD in the finals, PERIOD!!

VINTAGE CAR PARKING

This show is limited to pre-1979 Hot Rods and Muscle cars. If your car doesn’t meet this simple statement, please park in the spectator area. DO NOT MAKE ME DECIDE WHAT YOUR CAR IS.  YOUR NEW-STALGIA CAR IS NOT NOSTALGIC. NO ARGUMENTS!

Do we need to say anything about racing and alcohol?

The wristband you purchase for racing will not allow you to buy alcohol at the racetrack. When you’re done racing FOR THE DAY, take it off. If you’re caught with alcohol wearing a Drag Race wristband, you’re done racing for the day. PERIOD!!

VENDOR’S ROW

Please stop by the Vendor’s area and check out all the neat products, swag and services being displayed.

Vintage Car Parking and Drag Race cars will get a goody bag at registration (Tech Shack) while they last. Please use the coupons and specials in the bag or pass them to someone who will. All of these vendors wanted to come to the Riot and relax with a cold one but they chose to take time away from their business or leisure time to support the hobby and lifestyle that we LOVE.

This race could not have happened without the support of the vendors and sponsors! Please support those that support you.
