DEFINITION OF CLASSES
The Drag Race and Car Show is for all pre-1979 interpretations of American steel and/or fiberglass hot rods and/or drag cars raced from the 1940s through the 1970s. This event is a gathering to celebrate the GOLDEN AGE OF VINTAGE DRAG RACING.
Parking
This year there will be NO VIP PARKING on the Pit Side offered to anyone other than pre-1979 race cars, show cars, mini bikes, race car support vehicles, VIP’s, volunteers or staff.
If you are coming in as a support vehicle for a RACE CAR and it is a NON-NOSTALGIC CAR, stay together with the RACE CAR coming thru the entrance gate. Have the driver of the rig announce you to the staff at the back turn and say “they are with us”.
You will have to have a windshield sticker on your 1979 or older cars to park on the PIT SIDE.
PLEASE keep your pit footprint as small as possible. We have a lot of race cars / show cars to park!
Vendors, Swap Meet and Staff
7 am Saturday is setup/review time. Line up in Lane Three before the ticket booth.
YOU WILL NEED YOUR DRAGSTRIP RIOT CREDENTIAL FILLED OUT. You will be issued a wristband at the ticket gate.
Staff at the back entrance gate – you will be told where to park. Staff report to the Satan Speed Shop trailer for assignments.
Vendors/Swap Meet – will be escorted to your area. If you have questions, call before the show. If you’re already at the show, find someone with a Drag Strip Riot White / Black official shirt. That person will have a cell phone and will assist you.

Florida Muscle Car presents STOCK APPEARING: Bring ANY V8 naturally aspirated muscle car from the 60s or 70s. Stock tires and car must LOOK factory appearing. Drag radials, headers, no nitrous, no body major modifications, ALL STEEL.

OPEN WHEEL CLASS (formally called Nostalgia Eliminator):
Must have “OW” Sticker/Shoe Polish Displayed on Windshield/Front of car/windscreen.
FRONT Engine DRAGSTERs: ALTERED, FUNNY CAR’s, Rail-Jobs, 70’s style rear-engine Dragsters, A/AA Fuel Altered’s, Roadsters any engine combo raced in the 40’s through the 70’s, any engine, slick-tire, 1/4-mile Flag-Start.
Rail jobs, Rear engine Dragsters 70’s style, A/AA Fuel Altered’s, Roadsters any engine combo raced in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Slick Tire.
*To Include Flip top Funny Cars. Any engine. Slick tire. Any Engine. Slick Tire. ¼ Mile Flag Start.Saturday lane assignments (morning time-run sessions) is lane 1 and 2, you will be called to the lanes pairing at the staging entrance for eliminations.
Saturday time-run sessions will all be full-tree/heads-up.
GASSERS: ⅛ mile:
Straight Axle. Any Engine. Slick Tire. ⅛ Mile Sportsman-Tree 10th increment Start.
Must have “GS” Sticker/Shoe Polish Displayed on Windshield/Front of car. We may have different classes of Gassers this year.
Saturday, you will need to take the Time-Run Pass you will use for competition to Hal Conner before 1st round pairing. Orlando Speed World will do pairing rest of the day. See Denise in the lanes.
All ⅛-mile Gassers, Saturday morning time runs, you will be out of lanes 1 and 2. Shut off at the ⅛-mile mark. If you choose to use that time run as your dial-in, the ⅛-mile ET on ticket will be used. Give to Hal Conner.
Saturday time run passes will all be Sportsman-Tree/Heads-Up!
CLASSIC MUSCLE CAR SLICK TIRE MUSCLE CAR:
Must have “SMC” Sticker/Shoe Polish Displayed on Windshield/Front of car: All classic Muscle Car 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s door cars. Race cars, Altered Wheelbase, Stock and Nonstock engine. Class Rules SLICK TIRE. ¼ mile. Full Tree/Heads-Up!
If you have a car that was built between January 29th, 1886 through 1979, it has fenders and doors and SLICK tires with any engine combo, this is your class.
Saturday your lanes are 3 and 4. Lanes open all day.
CLASSIC STREET TIRE MUSCLE CAR:
All classic Muscle Car 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s Must have “STMC” Sticker/Shoe Polish Displayed on Windshield/Front of car.
Desc: Street Cars. Vintage car, Street Roadsters. Show and Go Stock. Stock and non-stock engine. Class Rules STREET TIRE. ¼ mile
If you have a car that was built between January 29th, 1886, and 1979, it has fenders and doors and STREET tires, with any engine combo, this is your class.
Saturday lane assignment is 5 and 6. Lanes open all day.
Stock Appearing Muscle Car:

Stock tires and car must LOOK factory appearing
No drag radials or headers and no nitrous. No body major modifications ALL STEEL. N/A
- Saturday morning hot laps will be out of lanes 5 and 6.
- You will be called to lanes 1 and 2 for eliminations.
MOTORCYCLES: Vintage Drag Racing
You will be given your Tech Card (Race car) / Registration Card (Show Car) at the gate. Bring this to the Tech Shack!!!
Lanes 7 and 8 will be your lane assignment. Make as many runs as you wish.
SHOW CAR:
If you want to race, you must buy a Tech Card at the gate before or after entry for an additional $25.
Lanes 5 and 6 will most likely be your lanes (Street Tire Class).
Registration cards and tech cards are TWO different things! Buy at the front gate, when coming in, if you think you are going to run.
Please fill out the registration card. We aren’t going to sell your info. We want to mail you Florida Dragstrip updates and yearly flyers.
Registration drop-off box is located at the FDR Tent. Drop off your registration card (more available at that location) or business card to receive notifications.
ACCESSIBLE DISABILITY parking and seating will be provided by Orlando Speed World on the SPECTATOR SIDE of the track.
ONLY NOSTALGIA RACE CARS AND VINTAGE CAR SHOW WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE RACE CAR/VINTAGE (PIT SIDE) CAR PARKING AREA PIT SIDE.
NO NEW-STALGIA CARs.
Love Hell Cats, Fox Bodys and late model Corvettes- just NOT at this show! I have asked in the past to keep the Nostalgic Flavor of the Event. Someone knowledgeable about Vintage cars will be at the front entrance gate. If your car doesn’t meet the nostalgic flavor of the event, you will be asked to park in the spectator area. THIS EVENT IS NOT A STEAK AND SHAKE THURSDAY NITE CRUISE-IN.

DO NOT CHALLENGE THE DRAGSTRIP RIOT PERSON GIVING YOU DIRECTIONS. They are all volunteers who are following what they are told to do! We will personally hand you your money back if you think you’ve been WRONGED OR MISLED!
